Greater Spotted Eagle (Clanga clanga), is a large Raptor of the Family Accipitridae. It is a summer migrant to woodland, in a band right across Eurasia from the Baltic countries to the Sea of Japan. It winters further South, from SW Europe, and Macedonia, Turkey, W Iran and across Arabia to SW Yemen, Ethiopia and along the Nile Valley back to the Mediteranean. Two additional wintering areas are across the Northern Oriental Region and eastern China.
