African spoonbill – Platalea alba – is a large resident African species of Type – wadingbird, Family Threskiornithidae and Order Pelecaniformes. It is found well distributed over s s Africa. In the AWB Region it is resident across the Sahel Belt countries, Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia.
