The Allen’s gallinule – Porphyrio alleni or Lesser gallinule is a small resident rail of Type – marshfowl, Family Rallidae and Order Gruiformes. It is native to s s Africa. In the AWB Region it is found in suitable wetland habitat southwards from the Sahel corridor.
