American pipit – Anthus rubescens – or Buff-bellied pipit is a small migratory Asian/American passerine of Type – insectivore, Family – Motacillidae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder across NE Asia, N America to S Greenland, and migrates in the winter to S USA, Central America, and in Asia from Japan, SE and S Asia to N India. The AWB Region lies outside of its normal range but it is recorded as Accidental in the UAE.
