Asian pied starling – Gracupica contra – or Pied myna – is an Asian myna of Type – arboreal-forager, Family Sturnidae and Order Passeriformes. Native to the Indian sub-continent and SE Asia, it has recently been introduced to other countries. In the AWB Region it has been introduced to the UAE, where it is establishing itself.

Type - arboreal-forager - untidy domed straw nest in mature tree, often found in small groups,
Typical Habitat - open plains with scattered trees, near wetlands, often near human habitation,
