Atlas wheatear – Oenanthe seebohmi – also called – Black-throated wheatear – or – Seebohm’s wheatear – has recently been upgraded to a full species, previously it was a sub-species of the Northern wheatear, and the xeno-canto map, shown below has yet to be updated. Both species are now present in the Maghreb States, but as noted above a number of sites have yet to be updated, so for the moment the situation still remains unclear.

Type - sallyer - nests on the ground in spaces between boulders,
Summer Habitat - stony mountain slopes with scattered  conifers and vegetation,
Winter Habitat - more humid semi-arid savannas with scattered Acacias,
