The Band-rumped storm-petrel – Hydrobates castro is a small marine, pelagic species of Type – seabird, Family Hydrobatidae and Order Procellariiformes. It is native to the warmer areas of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. In the AWB Region it is pelagic in the Atlantic offshore waters of NW Africa, and is found as Accidental in Morocco.





Type - seabird - island coastal colonies, nests in rock crevices, 
Summer Habitat - breeds on the warmer islands of the NE Atlantic, 
Winter Habitat - pelagic in the N and S Atlantic,
