Barbary partridge

The Barbary partridge (Alectoris barbara)  is a round medium sized game bird. It is native to the Northern Maghreb states, from where it gets its name from ‘The Barbary Coast’. It is also resident in Gibraltar, the Canary Islands, and Sardinia, but has also been introduced to various other states.
