The Black-bellied plover – (Pluvialis squatarola) or Grey plover is a Wader of the family Charadriidae. It is a Holarctic species and breeds near the Arctic Coasts of Alaska, Canada and Russia and in the winter migrates to many Temperate and Tropical coasts worldwide. In the AWB Region It winters along the coasts of the N Arabian Gulf, the S coast of Turkey, Cyprus Palestine and Sinai. It also winters along all coasts of N Africa, from S Mauritania to S Somalia and beyond.
