Black-bellied plover

The Black-bellied plover – Pluvialis squatarola or Grey plover is a medium sized species of Type – wader of the family Charadriidae and Order Charadriiformes. It is a Holarctic species and breeds near the Arctic Coasts of Alaska, Canada and Russia and in the winter migrates to many Temperate and Tropical coasts worldwide. In the AWB Region It winters along the coasts of the N Arabian Gulf, the S coast of Turkey, Cyprus Palestine and Sinai. It also winters along all coasts of N Africa, from S Mauritania to S Somalia and beyond.

Type - wader - nest is a scrape in the gravel, of dry open Tundra, with clear all round visibility, 
Summer Habitat - Arctic coastal Tundra areas and islands, 
Winter Habitat - world wide temperate to tropical coastal areas,
