Black-crowned tchagra – Tchagra senegalus – is a smallish resident African passerine of Type – sallyer, Family Malaconotidae and Order Passeriformes. It is found widely over s s Africa and into S Arabia. In the AWB Region it is resident over the S of the Sahel Belt countries into Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia, the N Maghreb states and one small area in NW Libya. In Arabia it has small areas where it is resident in SW KSA, SW Yemen, and Dhofar into SE Yemen.
