Black-headed bunting – Emberiza melanocephala – is a small migratory Eurasian passerine of Type – granivore, Family Emberizidae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder from SE Europe and SW Asia to Pakistan and winters in W India. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to Turkey, S Caucasus, Iran, Cyprus, the Levant and to a lesser extent in Syria and Iraq.
