Black-throated thrush – Turdus atrogularis – is a large migratory Asian thrush of Type – ground-forager, Family Turdidae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder to N Central Asia, in the Taiga areas, and in winter migrates S to SW Asia and the S Tibetan plateau. In the AWB Region there are a few small isolated areas in the S Caucasus and Iraq, where it is a summer breeder, and it is a winter visitor to Iran, E Iraq, and in small numbers to UAE.

Summer Habitat - the margins of forested areas, near  clearings, perimeters, edges, riparian spaces etc,
Winter Habitat - wooded mountains and foothills,
