Blackstart – Oenanthe melanura – is a resident Afro-Arabian wheatear of Type – sallyer, Family Muscicapidae and Order Passeriformes. It is resident in rocky areas of the S Sahara into W and SW Arabia. In the AWB Region it is resident in the Sahel states of Mali, Niger, Chad and Sudan, also S Egypt, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somaliland, Sinai, S Levant, W KSA, Yemen and SW Oman.
