Brambling – Fringilla montifringilla – is a small migratory Eurasian passerine of Type – granivore, Family Fringillidae and Order Passeriformes. It has a very extensive summer breeding range across N Eurasia from Norway to Kamchatka, the wintering range is also very extensive spreading from W Europe to Japan. The AWB Region lies within its normal wintering range, and it can be found in Turkey, S Caucasus, N Iran, N Syria, N Iraq, Cyprus, the Levant, N Egypt, N Morocco and N Algeria.

Type - granivore - flocks in winter,
Summer Habitat - more open areas of Taiga forests,
Winter Habitat - varied woodlands in more open country and farmlands,
