Brown skua

The Brown skua – Stercorarius antarcticus is a large migratory species of Type – seabird of the family Stercorariidae in the Order Charadriiformes. It breeds on isolated islands in the subantarctic oceans and outside the breeding season it spends it’s life at sea in the southern oceans. In the AWB Region it has been noted as Accidental in the coastal waters of UAE and Oman. It feeds extensively by pirating fish from other seabirds, a habit known as kleptoparasitism.
