Calandra lark – Melanocorypha calandra – is a lark species of Type – Alaudine, Family Alaudidae and Order Passeriformes. It is found across Eurasia from NW Africa, Iberia, S Europe, the N Middle East to Central Asia. In the AWB Region it is has a complex pattern of summer breeder, resident and winter visitor. It is found in Turkey, S Caucasus, Cyprus, the Levant, Syria and Iraq. In N Africa, it is a winter visitor to N coastal areas of Sinai and Egypt, and is resident across the the N coastal areas from Libya to Morocco.
