Caspian gull

The Caspian gull – Larus cachinnans is a large Eurasian gull of Type – seabird of the family Laridae and the Order Charadriiformes. It tends to be resident in E Europe more migratory in Central Asia and winters around the coastal regions of the Middle East. In the AWB Region it winters in the S coastal areas of the Black and Caspian Seas, in Iran it is absent from Central Iran but is found elsewhere. The main wintering area of the species is around all the coastal areas of the Arabian Peninsular plus NE Egypt, Sinai and the Levant.

Type - seabird - breeds inland near water,

Winter Habitat - typically coastal areas and inshore waters,
