Cirl bunting – Emberiza cirlus – is a small resident Eurasian passerine of Type – granivore, Family Emberizidae and Order Passeriformes. It is resident from NW Africa across Europe to SW Asia. In the AWB Region it is resident across the coastal areas of the Maghreb states to W and NW Turkey, where it is also found to winter along the SE coastal areas.
