Common house-martin – Delichon urbicum – is a small migratory Eurasian martin of Type – aerialist, Family Hirundinidae and Order Passeriformes. It has an extremely extensive summer breeding range extending from the UK to the Russian Far East, and migrates in the winter to s s Africa, Arabia, S India and SE Asia. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to the Maghreb states, Turkey, S Caucasus, Iran, Iraq, the Levant and Cyprus. It has wintering ranges in the Arabian Gulf coastal areas and in the Red Sea in SW KSA, NW Yemen, Eritrea and Djibouti, and in N Africa in Western Sahara, Mauritania, Mali, Niger and Chad.
