The Common murre – Uria aalge or Common guillemot is a large marine Auk of Type – seabird, Family Alcidae and Order Charadriiformes. Outside the breeding season it spends its time at sea in its Holarctic and adjacent warmer waters range. It nests colonially on bare rock ledges of rocky coastal cliffs. The AWB Region lies just outside its normal winter range of SW Spain, but it is recorded as Accidental in Morocco.
