Dead sea sparrow – Passer moabiticus – it is a small migratory/resident Middle Eastern sparrow of Type – granivore, Family Passeridae and Order Passeriformes. Its limited range around the Middle East is a patchwork of small isolated areas where it is a summer breeder, resident, or a winter visitor. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to S Turkey and Cyprus, resident in the S Levant, Syria, Iraq and SW Iran, and is a winter visitor to SE Iraq.
