Dicruridae – Drongos+ – is a Family of Passerine birds of the Old World Tropics, at the moment it contains only a single genus Dicrurus – Drongos, it is of Type – sallyer, (which is defined below) and is in the Order Passeriformes.

Species that  are typed as ‘Sallyer‘,  means typically that they sally forth… from a well chosen elevated perch to catch their prey, typically bees, wasps, insects or other small prey, flying by or on the ground, or in the water,  and then return back to their perch to wait for the next one to pass bye.
