Eastern Orphean warbler – Curruca crassirostris – is a largish Eurasian migratory warbler of Type – insectivore, Family Sylviidae and Order Passeriformes. It is found from SE Europe to SW, & S Central Asia, in winter it migrates S to peninsular India, coastal SW Asia, E Arabia and E s s Africa. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to the Levant, Turkey, S Caucasus, Iran and Iraq. In winter it is found in coastal areas of S Iran, UAE, Oman and SW Yemen, in Africa it winters in E Chad, S Sudan and Eritrea. There is a small area in S Iran near the Straits of Hormuz where it is resident.

Summer Habitat - open deciduous bushy and forested areas,
Winter Habitat - more open varied woodlands.
