Egyptian nightjar

The Egyptian nightjar (Caprimulgus aegyptius) is a smaller species of the family Caprimulgidae. It has a range extending across the N Maghreb states, Egypt, the Middle East and into Central Asia. In the AWB Region it has breeding ranges in the N Maghreb states, Egypt, S Iraq, and SW and E Iran, and wintering ranges in S Mauritania, S Mali, E Chad and S Sudan. Elsewhere it is widely found on passage.
