Eurasian tree sparrow – Passer montanus – is a resident Eurasian sparrow of Type – granivore, Family Passeridae and Order Passeriformes. It has a very extensive range over Eurasia, but becomes migratory in the high NW of Russia. In the AWB Region it is resident in Central and E Turkey, the S Caucasus, N and E Iran, and a small isolated area in Tunisia. There are wintering areas in W and S Turkey, Cyprus, Tunisia and Morocco.
