European serin – Serinus serinus – is a small migratory/resident Eurasian passerine of Type – granivore, Family Fringillidae and Order Passeriformes. In W and S Europe, and NW Africa it is typically resident, In Central and E Europe it is typically a summer breeder. In the E Mediterranean basin it becomes a winter visitor, Cyprus it is resident and in Turkey it is migratory being both a summer breeder and a winter visitor. In the eastern AWB Region outside of Turkey it is a winter visitor to N Iraq, the Levant, Sinai, N Egypt and NE Libya.
