Far Eastern curlew – Numenius madagascariensis – is a large migratory Asian shorebird of Type – wader, Family Scolopacidae and Order Charadriiformes. It is a summer breeder to NE Asia and winters in the islands and coastal areas of SE Asia and Australasia. The AWB Region lies outside of its normal range but it is recorded as Accidental in Oman.
