Fieldfare – Turdus pilaris – is a larger, migratory Eurasian thrush of Type – ground-forager, Family Turdidae and Order Passeriformes. In N Europe, Central and E Asia it is migratory, in Temperate Europe it is resident, and in W and S Europe, the Mediterranean basin, and SW Asia, it is a winter visitor. The AWB Region lies within its normal range and it is a winter visitor to the S Caucasus, N Iran, W Turkey, Cyprus, the Levant, Iraq, Syria, one very small area in NW KSA. Sinai, N Egypt and Nile valley, coastal areas of Libya and the Maghreb states.

Type - ground-forager - nests in trees in small colonies,
Summer Habitat - N Palearctic woodlands, 
Winter Habitat - open country, farmland and open woodland, nomadic flocks search for berries,
