Fregatidae – Frigatebirds+ is a Family of large predatory oceanic birds of Type – seabird, and Order Suliformes. Outside of the breeding season, they spend most of their lives at sea in the tropical oceans of the world. They catch and eat fish at the water surface, but also typically harass other seabirds to make them disgorge their prey and swoop down to catch it in the air as it falls. The most distinctive feature of the male birds is that they have a bright red inflatable gular pouch for displaying purposes.
