Goldcrest – Regulus regulus – is a very small migratory/resident Eurasian passerine of Type – tit-like, Family Regulidae and Order Passeriformes. It has a very extensive range from W Europe to far E Asia. Typically it is migratory in the N of its range, resident in the mid-latitudes and a winter visitor in the S, except where modified by mountain ranges. In the AWB Region it is resident in Turkey, W of S Caucasus, and N Iran. It is a winter visitor to E of S Caucasus, NW Iran, the Levant, Cyprus, N Tunisia and NE Algeria.
