The Golden nightjar – Caprimulgus eximius is a resident smaller nightjar of Type – crepuscular, Family Caprimulgidae and Order Caprimulgiformes. It is found along the Sahel Corridor from the Atlantic to central Sudan.

Type - crepuscular - nocturnal, nests, and roosts during the day, on the ground,
Habitat - Sahel corridor, semi-desert, steppes. with distributed bushes and trees.
