Greater vasa parrot – Coracopsis vasa – is a black resident Malagasy parrot of Type – Psittacine, Family Psittaculidae and Order Psittaciformes. It is found in Madagascar and Comoros, and is the larger of the two black parrots in the region, and prefers the dry deciduous forests.
