House sparrow – Passer domesticus – is a resident world wide sparrow of Type – granivore, Family Passeridae and Order Passeriformes. Originally a Eurasian species it now has a world wide distribution. In the AWB Region it is a widely resident species with some small winter movements, the few areas where this is not so are Mali, Niger, Chad, Djibouti, Somali, and Socotra.
