Icterine warbler – Hippolais icterina – is a rather large migratory warbler of Type – insectivore, Family Acrocephalidae, and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder from N France to E Kazakhstan and winters in sub-equatorial Africa. In the AWB Region there is a very small isolated summer breeding area in NE Iran, in N Africa it is found on broad passage across the Sahara to its wintering area in sub-equatorial Africa.

Summer Habitat - prefers woodland margins and clearings rather than dense forest
