Kurdish wheatear – Oenanthe xanthoprymna – is a migratory Asian wheatear of Type – sallyer, Family Muscicapidae and Order Passeriformes. It is found as a summer breeder to SW Asia, and migrates a short distance S, to winter in southern Arabia and NE Africa, In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to SE Turkey, W and Central Iran and E Iraq and it winters in S KSA, UAE, Oman and Yemen. It also winters in the African coastal areas of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden to the Horn of Africa.

Type - sallyer - 
Summer Habitat - open mountainous arid rocky hillsides,
Winter Habitat - also more lowland hillsides in scrubby semi-desert areas.
