The Lanner falcon – Falco biarmicus is a medium sized falcon of Type – diurnal-raptor, Family Falconidae and Order Falconiformes. It is a resident species throughout Africa, but its range extends around the coastal Mediterranean areas of the Levant and Turkey into S Europe. In the AWB Region it is resident in all the African countries plus small areas in KSA, the Levant, Turkey, S Caucasus, and Iran.
