The Lesser noddy – Anous tenuirostris is a medium sized Tropical noddy of Type – seabird, the family Laridae and the Order Charadriiformes. It is a bird of the Indian Ocean and in the AWB Region it is found near the shores of Oman, and the Comoros but is Accidental in UAE waters. The species breeds and roosts in mangroves on oceanic islands and is largely resident around it’s breeding area but there is some more general dispersion outside of the late summer breeding season.

Winter Habitat - offshore from Tropical islands in the Indian ocean,
