Lesser whitethroat – Curruca curruca – is a small Eurasian migratory warbler of Type – insectivore, Family Sylviidae and Order Passeriformes. It has an extensive summer breeding range from W Europe to E Asia, and also winters over an extensive range from s s Africa to N India. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to Turkey. S Caucasus and the Levant. It winters in SE Iran, S KSA, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE. Oman, Yemen, discontinuously across the Sahel Belt, more extensively in Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, W Somaliland, and the Nile Valley to Cairo.

Winter Habitat - Sahel country, semi-deserts, scrub, thorny bushes and scattered trees,
