The Little gull – Hydrocoloeus minutus is a small migratory Palearctic gull of Type – seabird of the family Laridae and the Order Charadriiformes. It has a small presence in N America, and breeds colonially in freshwater marshes of N Eurasia, in the winter it migrates S to Temperate N Hemisphere waters. In the AWB Region it is a winter visitor to the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea, the E Mediterranean Sea and offshore the Maghreb states.
