The Manx Shearwater – Puffinus puffinus is a mid-sized Atlantic shearwater of Type – seabird, Family Procellariidae and Order Procellariiformes. It breeds on both sides of the N Atlantic and outside of the breeding season it is pelagic over the Atlantic Ocean from the Arctic to offshore S America and the Falklands. In the AWB Region, the nearest breeding colonies are found in the Canary islands, and outside of the breeding season it can be found in Atlantic offshore waters from Gibraltar to Mauritania.
