Mew gull

The Mew gull – Larus canus  or Common Gull is a medium sized migratory gull of Type – seabird with a Holarctic Range, it is of the family Laridae and the Order Charadriiformes. It is a summer colonial breeder to subarctic and Temperate ponds, lakes and marshes across Eurasia and N America. In the AWB Region it is a localised summer breeder to several colonies on the Atlantic coast of W Morocco. In winter it is found on the coasts of The S Caspian Sea, the Black Sea, the Aegean, the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, the Levant, Sinai and NE Egypt, also it is found offshore of NW Morocco.

Summer Habitat - lakes, large rivers, marshes,
Winter Habitat - pelagic Atlantic E seas, or coastal areas of E Mediterranean, Black Sea and S Caspian Sea and shores,
