Motacillidae – Wagtails+ or Wagtails, Longclaws and Pipits, are a Family of smallish/medium passerines with long tails. They are typically ground feeding species of Type – insectivore, and Order Passeriformes. Except for the Forest Wagtail they are all ground nesters, favour more open country and are divided into five genera. They are widely distributed around the world and can be found from sea-level to high mountains. Currently the Family is divided into the categories as shown below.
