Mourning collared-dove – Streptopelia decipiens – or African mourning dove – is a medium/large resident African dove of Type – landfowl, Family Columbidae and Order Columbiformes. It is widely found in s s Africa near water and settlements in Savannas and open woodlands. In the AWB Region it is found right across the Sahel Belt in Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Sudan, Eritrea and Somalia.
