Namaqua dove

The Namaqua dove – Oena capensis is a species of the family Columbidae, and is the only one of the genus Oena. It is found widely across sub-Saharan Africa and sporadically across southern Arabia. In the AWB Region it is resident right across the Sahel to SW Arabia and more thinly elsewhere.

Type - landfowl - nests in bushes,
Resident Habitat - semi-desert scrub with bushes and scattered acacia trees, 
Dispersal Habitat - outside of the breeding season it tends to disperse more widely,
