Omani Owl

The Omani owl – Strix butleri is a medium sized owl of the nocturnal raptor Family Strigidae and the Order Strigiformes. It is resident in the Hajar Mountains Region of NE Oman. In the AWB Region as noted above it is resident in NE Oman but according to ebird it has also been recorded in Dhofar in the south of Oman, and also as Accidental in the Hajar Mountains of the UAE.
