The Pacific golden-plover – Pluvialis fulva is a medium sized species of Type – wader in the family Charadriidae and Order Charadriiformes. It breeds across the N coasts of Asia from the Yenisei Gulf to the W coast of Alaska. In winter it migrates south to S Asia, SE Asia and onto the coasts of Australia and New Zealand. In the AWB Region it is found on Passage along the S coastal region of the Arabian Peninsula into Yemen and across the Gulf of Aden to winter in Somaliland and S Somalia.

Type - wader - nests on the ground in dry open areas,
Summer Habitat - Arctic Tundra, shorelines, tidal flats, 
Winter Habitat - tropical coastal areas of the Indian Ocean and Australasia,
