Pale rockfinch – Carpospiza brachydactyla – or Pale sparrow is a small migratory Asian sparrow of Type – granivore, Family Passeridae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder to SE Turkey, the S Caucasus, Iran and small areas of N Iraq, N UAE and N Oman. There are a few small areas where it becomes resident in NW KSA and the S Levant. The main wintering area is along the SW coastline of the Red Sea to Djibouti, and small isolated wintering areas are found in Sudan, Egypt, KSA, Iraq and Syria.
