Pectoral sandpiper

The Pectoral sandpiper – Calidris melanotos is a small migratory wader of the family Scolopacidae. It is a summer breeder to the Tundra Regions of E Asia, Alaska and W Canada to Hudson’s Bay. Most birds winter in South America but the most westerly breeders migrate to southern Australasia. It is an Accidental to the AWB Region.
