The Plain swift – Apus unicolor is a mid sized resident and partially migratory swift of Type – aerial, Family Apodidae and Order Caprimulgiformes. It is resident in the Canary Islands and Madeira but is also partially migratory to Guinea and Sierra Leone. In the AWB Region it is found on passage in SW Morocco, Western Sahara, W Mauritania and SW Mali.
