The Pomarine jaeger – Stercorarius pomarinus is a medium sized, strongly migratory species of Type – seabird of the family Stercorariidae and Order Charadriiformes. It is a summer breeder to the Holarctic Region and in winter migrates to Temperate and Tropical seas worldwide. In the AWB Region it is a winter visitor off the Atlantic coasts of Mauritania, Western Sahara and Morocco, the Red Sea S from southern Egypt, the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Oman and the S Arabian Gulf up to Qatar, and separately off the coast S Somalia.

Summer Habitat - Arctic Tundra and islands,
Winter Habitat - winters at sea in Tropical Oceans,
